How To Treat Burns

Posted on 05:07 by Unknown
Whether you burn on a hot curling iron or your child with a hot stove, burns are painful and often frightening. There are many misconceptions and old wives' tales about how to treat burns, but follow these steps  and you should make a full recovery. For more tips, first aid, I recommend the popular Guide to Emergency First Aid - this is the ideal reference for families and for those who want to know how to give first aid for minor injuries or serious.

To Treat a Burn:

1.Immediately run the burn under cold water. If you burn your fingers or wrist, it's easy to do in the sink. However, if the burn is less practical in a part of your body, immerse the part of your body in a cold bath or wrap in wet towels. With children who are in pain and fear, it is often easier to pick them up and put them in a cool bath, clothes and all, than trying to convince them to go to the sink and stand still .

2.Quickly assess the degree of the burn. A rule of thumb is that first-degree burns are red, second degree burns blister and third degree burns to break or darken the skin. third-degree burns require emergency medical care immediately!

3.Consult a physician if necessary. If you or someone else has a third degree burn, call 911. Also seek immediate emergency medical attention if it is an electrical burn, chemical burn, or burn the genitals or face. If this is a second degree burn that covers an area larger than the palm of your hand, go to the emergency room.

4.Bandage the burned area. With the exception of the above situations, apply a sterile gauze bandage or dressing area to be protected. Do not use glue to treat a burn - you will not want to peel off the skin that burned - and keep the bandage loose to allow air to circulate.

How to Calculate Payroll

Posted on 03:21 by Unknown
Payroll is the total amount of all financial records of salaries, allowances, bonuses and salary of an employee in an organization. It is necessary to know how to calculate payroll for each employee. Payroll and the amount that is paid to employees for work they have done for the organization during a certain period of time.

In this article you will learn about how to calculate the payroll in a few easy steps.

Steps to calculate

In the first step, you calculate your gross salary. You can do this by multiplying your salary by 12, which is to find your annual income. For example, if you earn $ 4,000.00 per month, then you should multiply that amount by 12 to calculate annual salary. Now you will find an amount to be $ 48,000.00.
Now you must take this amount is $ 48,000.00 and divide it by 52. This is so because there are 52 weeks in the entire year. It is not necessary that a month will contain only 4 weeks. After that, you will find the amount to be $ 923.08 per week. It should be remembered that this is the gross salary and not pay.
After calculating the weekly rate, you must calculate the hourly wage. Now you should take $ 923.08 and divide that amount by the number of hours you worked. Suppose that the number of hours worked is 40 hours. Now, divide $ 923.08 by 40. You will get an amount of $ 23.07 an hour after this calculation. Now you've got your standard rate is $ 23.07 per hour.
Sometimes we get paid for overtime. In this case, we should learn to calculate overtime. You must take your hourly rate of $ 23.07 and multiply that amount by 1.50 (OT rate per hour). Now you find that your salary is $ 34.61 OT per hour for overtime (hours worked over 40 hours).
Sometimes we get double pay. Some employers give double pay for Sunday work. This amount will be calculated the same way, we calculated OT. You must take your hourly rate and multiplying this rate by 2. This will increase your salary will be $ 46.14 TND per hour.
Suppose you worked for 45 hours in your first week of employment. Now, the calculation will
$ 23.07 * 40 = $ 922.80

Overtime Pay = $ 34.61 * 5 = $ 173.05

Now you must add two regular wages and overtime pay

$ 922.80 + $ 173.05 = $ 1095.85

This amount is your gross income for the first week of your employment.

Now you should start calculating deductions. Consider first deduct the federal income. You should receive your federal income tax table. It is suggested to find the federal income tax you sheet according to marital status. If you are single, you should seek only the sheet and if you're married, you must find the sheet of the couple.

Discover your income and should be in the range of 1095.85. For example, if it is greater than or equal to 1000 but less than or equal to 1500, then it will be the range you want to use. This range is arranged in two columns that are on the left side of form.
Now you need to know how many dependents you are claiming. What is said to be the source allocations. You must find your level of income and new cleavages among dependents, then you get what you have to deduct federal income.

For social security, there are a defined rate of payment, if you go beyond your social security will not be accepted. The amount of social security is approximately $ 100,000.00 per year. If you're already $ 100,000 per year then you already know how to calculate payroll or you would have someone do it for you. It should be noted that the rate of social security is still 6.2% and the rate of health insurance is still at 1.45%.
Now you need to take your income has been deducted from social security. What is
1095.85 * 6.2% = $ 67.94

For Medicare, you must calculate that

1095.85 * 1.45% = $ 15.89

$ 15.89 should be deducted for Medicare.

Now that you have to summarize all the deductions. Is:
$ 67.94 + $ 15.89 + tax federal income deductions = Total

Now, the last step, you deduct your total deductions from your gross income to determine the amount of your net income or home pay amount.

Tips & Warnings

State income tax can not be provided. You should get these rates in the Department of Revenue of your state or the webpage itself.

All other deductions such as insurance, etc. charity or contributions should be added to the deductions to get just pay.

Pre-retirement are taxed should be subtracted from gross income before taxes are deducted.

Payroll is easy, but it needs a lot of data and information, and should also be precise. It is very important to know how to calculate the payroll for both the employer and employee. I hope this article would have helped you in the same.

How to Protect from Swine Flu

Posted on 03:02 by Unknown
Swine influenza, also known as H1N1 is a viral infection that causes illness in people. She first from pigs in the 1930s, but was first detected in humans in April 2009. H1N1 is spreading among humans in the same way as normal flu spreads by touching, sneezing, coughing, etc. This article will show you how to protect against swine flu.

The swine flu symptoms are similar to those of common flu, which makes it difficult to detect at an early stage. these symptoms are cough, congestion, aches, joint pain, sore throat, fatigue, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches and in rare cases even death. Children, the elderly and pregnant women are at greater risk of developing infection. People with medical conditions such as asthma, blood disease, kidney and liver, diabetes etc. are also more likely to be infected with H1N1.

There are vaccines available now in hospitals to protect you from the swine flu. There are also many everyday actions that can help prevent the spread of this virus.
Here are some steps you can take to protect against swine flu:

Disinfect

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water at regular intervals before and after eating, after using the toilet and return indoors.
You must spend at least 20 seconds to wash their hands nearly 80% of the infection is transmitted by hands.
If you do not have access to soap and water all the time, keep a disinfectant with you who has an alcohol content of 60%.

Avoid

Stay away from crowded places and reduce social contacts. Do not meet people who are already down with the flu or you think they are infected.
You can not, of course, avoid going to the office, but do not go out otherwise.
If you must leave, then ensure that you keep a safe distance from people infected and wear a surgical or dental treatment to reduce risk of infection.
However, do not rely only on the masks because they are not infallible and do not protect completely against swine flu.

Be vigilant

Because the symptoms of swine flu are similar to those of colds, you must be very careful.
Consult a physician immediately if symptoms do not disappear in a few days or worsen.
Remember the swine flu can be treated effectively if you seek medical attention at the right time.

Hygiene

The basic step you can take to reduce the spread of this virus is to follow the hygiene habits.
Always carry a handkerchief or tissue and use it to cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze.
If you use cloth, throw them in the trash after one use, do not put it in your pocket or purse.

Cleanliness

Maintain cleanliness in your home and work to protect the swine flu.
Keep your home clean and sanitized, especially bathrooms and kitchens. Wipe smooth surfaces with disinfectants.
Follow the same practice at your workplace, wiping your computer, desk, telephone and so powerful disinfectant.

Do not panic

If you think you have contacted the virus, do not panic.
Take the tablets of paracetamol for fever and other medicines for cold and if symptoms persist, consult a doctor and follow his instructions carefully.

Additional precautions

You must be very careful with young children (especially infants and children under 5), elderly (aged over 60) and chronic patients. They can seek medical help immediately if infection due to their fragile immune system.

How to Sing Better - Learn to Control Your Larynx

Posted on 23:35 by Unknown
Among the best ways to learn to sing better orimprove your singing, one of the key factors is ridding your larynx tension. More commonly called "mailbox", the larynx is actually a small box containing the vocal cords. Compound with cartilage, larynx is surrounded and supported by the muscles. The larynx plays a key role in producing the tones of the song. By using it, the sound is created based on the sequence of events:

  • The brain does the voice-string ready when you decide to sing
  • They begin to fold closed.
  • Air flows from the lungs
  • Air passes the voice-strings to vibrate
Did you take a look at the image of a larynx you will notice that the tracheal tube faces the vocal cords, which are above the epiglottises. The force of the air passes the vocal cords vibrate is the subglottic pressure. It is easy to feel your larynx by a gently finger down your throat. The larynx goes up and down when you swallow when you yawn. As the larynx descends, opens the throat, so airflow is free, just to create rich colors and strong. Make subglottic pressure better tone and position of the larynx both have direct effect on your singing. If you want to learn to sing better, you must control the flow of air to reach the vocal cords and make sure that your larynx is one of the central or lower positions.

If the larynx is tight, the vocal parts could shut down completely when the pressure Subglottic arise. When this occurs, the flaps open when the pressure is sufficient. This may sound strange, very similar to clicking before a tone is done. This is called a glottal attack. Once you start to sing, onset of tone produced by the oscillating vocal fold is known for the attack. The name suggests a lot more formidable than it really is. You do not really want to attack the pressure of your vocal chords, but want air to flow easily. To get the best tone possible, remember that:
  • Persistent glottal attack damages the vocal cords
  • poor posture can say they do not close properly and the air escapes
  • The larynx will be pushed up to produce a nasal tone sounding.
  • If the muscles around the larynx are strained vocal chords do not function properly, resulting in a lower tone.
  • Blown-sounding singers have an excess of air passing through the vocal cords.

Obviously, the larynx has an important role in the quality of sound that you emit. Maintaining control.
Normally, we do our vocal cords as a thing in our control, but even something as fundamental as the angle of your head can affect the capacity of the strings "to open and close properly. That alone is reason to focus on good posture. If you want your larynx to remain in the lower position, keep your head straight so that your neck is aligned with the spine. Relax and do not strain your jaw. Doing the larynx tightened muscles around the vocal cords can clamp. Learning to sing and to improve your singing is much broader than simply training for better grades. A good singer knows how the components of the body work together, and that includes the larynx.

How to check Internet Speed

Posted on 23:51 by Unknown
To check if you have found the Internet speed claimed by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), you can check the speed of your Internet connection. This article will guide you through the methods of checking the speed of the Internet. In addition, it explains the basic things involved in a speed test.

There are many website available online that can check your upload and download speeds upstream and at the same time, you talk about various other measures.

Some testers are famous Speed Internet:

Speedtest
Internet Frog
BandwidthPlace

Click on one of the testers over the line speed, preferably speedtest. Some of them may require you to choose a destination server. You may be required to have the latest version of Flash to run these speed tests.

Simply visit the website and click a button to start the speed test. After the end of the test, which can take anywhere for less than 1 minutes you will be provided with the full download and the download speed with various other measures such as ping rates, etc. These testers measure the speed of the connection speed bits per second. If you do not have a dedicated Internet connection, your connection speed may vary.

Difference between bits and bytes per second per second

Normally, ISPs sell their services by requiring users of the speed in bits per second as 512 kilobits per second (kbps) or 1024 kilobits per second (kbps). Note that 1024 kilobytes = 1 megabyte.

Here, we must understand that the bits and bytes are two different units of measurement where 1 byte = 8 bits. Therefore, 512 kilobits per second is equal to 64 kilobytes per second and even, 1 megabit per second is equal to 128 kilobytes per second.

What is the download and upload?

By downloading, you receive a file from the Internet. For example, you download a song from a website.

On the other hand, the download is the opposite of downloading. By downloading, you send a file to the Internet. For example, attach a file to an e-mail is an example of downloading.

What is the ping test?

It determines the quality of your broadband Internet connection. Streaming media, voice communications, video and online games require more than just raw speed. If you want to particularly make sure you ping rate.
